March - St George Art Festival
Welcome the arrival of spring at St George Arts Festival, which is taking place on the 29th and 30th of March 2024 in the historic town square of Downtown St George.
This family-friendly event is a cultural extravaganza showcasing the talents of local artists and performers. Expect everything from art shows to live music and dance performances to theatre.
With over 110 artists from across the United States, you’ll see works of art ranging from paintings to sculptures, alongside films exhibited at the Desertscape International Film Festival which is incorporated with the Art Festival.
Stroll through rows of booths, enjoy live demonstrations, and let the kids’ creativity soar at the ‘Creation Station’ which organizes hands-on art workshops. Children will discover activities like t-shirt coloring, monster mural painting, and outdoor games like Giant Jenga and duck races!
April - Downtown Farmers Market
Sample the freshest local produce at Downtown Farmers Market which runs every Saturday, year-round, (10 am - 2 pm in April) on the lawns of Vernon Worthen Park.
With over 60 vendors, selling locally grown fruit and vegetables, pasture-raised meats, and fine artisanal products, this market has brought local businesses together for over 15 years and continues to go from strength to strength.

July - Independence Day Celebrations
Join in with one of the biggest occasions in the St George events calendar at the 4th of July Celebration which is taking place in the Town Square this summer. With live music, a vibrant parade, a carnival, and a variety of other fun activities planned, all family members are sure to have a fantastic day.
Kicking off with a 4k race at 6.30 am, followed by a parade featuring floats adorned with stars and stripes, marching bands, and of course plenty of flags being waved, there is so much to see and do. Spread out a picnic blanket and watch all the action, before heading to the carnival to enjoy some thrilling rides and games.

August - Tubing on the Virgin River
If your family is looking for a peaceful escape into nature and some quality time together, river tubing could be the perfect activity for you! Float Zion River Tubing runs guided river tubing sessions down the Virgin River, using the gentle river currents to float you through scenic Zion National Park.
August is a great month for this activity as the waters are calm and the weather is warm. And the fact that Float Zion is based just 50km from St George means that it’s an easy day out.

October - St George Marathon

November - Family Hikes
